I welcome you to the website of the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Ukraine.
The cruel and unjust war has brought tragedy into every Ukrainian family, into every home. The attacks on civilian infrastructure, on peaceful people continue, and the explosions can be heard even on the Moldovan soil, the Republic of Moldova being one of the few countries where the effects of the war are not only felt, but literally heard. We vehemently condemn these inhumane and criminal acts, which must encounter a firm and unequivocal response from the entire international community.
Despite the war, relations between our countries can be characterized by an unprecedented dynamic. At the bilateral level, our common objective remains unchanged - promoting political dialogue, enhancing trade and economic exchanges, strengthening cultural and humanitarian ties between the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine. In this regard, we have a consistent agenda, characterized by intense contacts at all levels, which contribute to deepening the political dialog and to shaping new opportunities for the overall relations between our countries. Equally important is the protection of the rights of our citizens in Ukraine.
At the same time, the strategic objectives of the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine align and are complementary, offering new prospects for cooperation. The opening of negotiations on accession to the European Union is a victory for the diplomacy of our countries, but also a special effort, sometimes less noticed by the general public. This strategic opening for the prospects of the region calls for an increased coordination of our positions on the international arena aimed at materializing the common interest of accession. We are going to work together, increase the degree of coordination and exchange of experience on European integration issues.
It is very important for me and my colleagues that the Embassy remains a bridge between our countries, promoting cooperation at all levels and in areas of mutual interest.
We wish the Ukrainian people peace and prosperity!
